Buy a server with Bitcoin (BTC)
Pay for your KernelHost server with Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies: how the payment works, what to watch out for and why crypto counts as a secure payment method.
At KernelHost you can pay for dedicated servers, KVM root servers, game servers and every other service with Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. Payments run through our own BTCPayServer, so the transaction goes straight from your wallet to us, usually confirmed within a few minutes.
How to pay with cryptocurrencies
During checkout you select Bitcoin or one of the other supported cryptocurrencies as your payment method. You then receive a payment address together with a QR code and send the displayed amount from your wallet. As soon as the transaction is confirmed on the network, the invoice is marked as paid automatically and your server is provisioned.
Supported currencies include Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Litecoin, Ethereum, Dogecoin and USDC. We keep adding new ones so that you stay as free as possible in your choice of wallet.
What to watch out for when paying
- Always send the full amount shown, because network fees are charged to the sender.
- Use the displayed address for this one invoice only, a new address is generated for every further payment.
- When the network is under heavy load, confirmation can take a little longer, and the invoice stays open until then.
Why pay with crypto at all?
Crypto payments are considered one of the safest ways to pay online. You hand over no card or bank details that could be misused later, because only the transaction itself is transmitted. Your public wallet address on its own is worthless to an attacker.
On top of that, the payment works independently of bank accounts, credit card limits and opening hours. For international customers it is often the fastest route to a running server. It also fits the PrePaid model well, because there is no contract, no minimum term and no automatic renewal.
In summary
- Supported cryptocurrencies: Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Litecoin, Ethereum, Dogecoin, USDC and more.
- Direct Bitcoin payments through our own BTCPayServer.
- Automatic provisioning as soon as the transaction is confirmed.
- No card or bank details are passed on.
