Which payment methods does KernelHost support?
Klarna, PayPal, paysafecard, card, Apple Pay, Google Pay and cryptocurrencies: which payment options KernelHost offers and how quickly an invoice counts as paid.
Every payment method listed here is processed in real time: your invoice is usually marked as "paid" within a few seconds, and the server you ordered is set up immediately afterwards. Billing follows the PrePaid model, with no contract and no minimum term.
These are the payment options we currently offer.
Klarna: pay later, pay now or in installments

Klarna is one of the most widely used checkout solutions in Europe and comes in three variants:
- Pay Later: You get your service right away and pay up to 30 days later, completely interest free.
- Pay Now: You pay immediately from your bank account or your card.
- Slice It: Payment in installments, for example over 3 or 6 months, on attractive terms.
All transactions run in real time, so your invoice counts as paid straight away. Klarna works with any bank that offers online banking and uses your bank's own authentication to approve the payment.
PayPal

PayPal is the best-known online payment system worldwide and is supported by most online shops. With PayPal you can also enable the subscription function, so that your server rental renews automatically every month.
The practical advantage: you do not have to enter any card or account details, because they are already stored securely in your PayPal account.
paysafecard: pay without a bank account

If your bank does not offer online banking, or you have no bank account at all, paysafecard is a good alternative. You buy the card with cash in supermarkets, at petrol stations and in convenience stores.
After the purchase you receive a PIN code that you simply enter online. Your invoice is paid immediately, with no bank account and no credit card involved. That is particularly handy for younger customers and for anyone who wants to keep their spending strictly separate from their bank account.
Cryptocurrencies: Bitcoin and more

You can pay for your server with Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Litecoin, Ethereum, Dogecoin, USDT and other coins. Direct Bitcoin payments run through our own BTCPayServer, and we keep extending the range of supported currencies.
Cryptocurrencies count among the safest ways to pay online, because the transactions are strongly encrypted and your public wallet address on its own is worthless to an attacker. The article Buying a server with Bitcoin covers this in detail.
Credit and debit card, Apple Pay and Google Pay

You pay easily and securely with your credit or debit card, and Apple Pay and Google Pay are supported as well. Here too you can enable the subscription function, so that your server rental renews automatically each month.
Prepaid debit cards are another option: you can buy them and top them up online or in local shops.
Other local payment options

In addition to the classic card payments (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, UnionPay), KernelHost supports these methods:
- eps bank transfer
- WeChat Pay
- MobilePay
- Billie
- Alipay
- Bancontact
- Przelewy24
- Revolut Pay
- Google Pay
- Apple Pay
How to choose your payment method
You pick the payment method during the order process, once you have configured your server. You can change it later at any time: open the outstanding invoice in the client area and select a different method there. As soon as the payment is confirmed, the server is set up automatically.
