Every Storage Server is reachable through nine transfer protocols: FTP, FTPS, SFTP, SCP, Samba/CIFS, WebDAV, WebDAVs, BorgBackup and rsync. That makes it straightforward to mount the storage from Linux and Windows servers, NAS devices, backup tools (Veeam, Restic, Duplicati, Plesk Backup) or end-user machines, without any extra gateway software.
You can take up to 10 manual snapshots at any time. On top of that, daily, weekly and monthly snapshots are created automatically, so you can roll back files that were accidentally overwritten or encrypted by ransomware. Sub-accounts let you create multiple separate logins with individual storage quotas, ideal for resellers, teams or several projects sharing a single Storage Server.
Typical use cases include off-site server backups (with BorgBackup, Restic, rsync or Veeam), external backups for shared hosting and Plesk servers, media and archive storage, software repositories, game-server backups and shared file storage for small teams. Because the storage sits outside your production server, your backups stay reachable even if the main system goes down completely.

What is a Storage Server?
A Storage Server is dedicated cloud storage with a fixed monthly capacity (1, 5, 10 or 20 TB) that you mount through classic protocols like FTP, SFTP, Samba/CIFS and WebDAV. It also natively supports specialised backup tooling such as BorgBackup and rsync. That makes it ideal for keeping server backups, hosting backups or large data archives safely off-site, away from your production system.
Which protocols does the Storage Server support?
FTP, FTPS, SFTP, SCP, Samba/CIFS, WebDAV, WebDAVs, BorgBackup and rsync. You can mount the storage as a network drive on Windows and macOS, sync to it from Linux scripts via rsync, or write deduplicated, encrypted backups with BorgBackup, all on the same account.
Are snapshots really included?
Yes. You can take up to 10 manual snapshots at any time. In addition, daily, weekly and monthly snapshots are created automatically. That means you can roll files back to an earlier version within seconds after an accidental deletion or a ransomware attack, at no extra cost.
Can I create multiple logins (sub-accounts)?
Yes. Each Storage Server supports several sub-accounts with their own logins and their own storage quotas. That is useful for teams, resellers, or when you want to keep different projects strictly separated without buying multiple Storage Servers.

Every Storage Server runs in a TÜV TIER3+ certified premium datacenter in Nuremberg (Germany, Europe), fully GDPR-compliant, with redundant network and a 99.99% uptime SLA. Data is encrypted at rest.
